The landing on parasailing is controlled, rather than feeling like a quick drop or anything sudden. Most people think that it is a sudden dip back onto the boat, but in reality, the crew is managing your descent the whole time from the boat, and they wil slowly ease you down as they bring you back in. As you get closer to the deck, the pace tightens a bit because they want everything lined up, but it is still gradual and guided. The boat stays steady, the crew talks you through it, and you are lowered into a spot where they can reach you and bring you in safely. Most of the time, your feet either touch lightly or you are just scooped right back onto the platform. If anything, the only time it feels a little quicker is when conditions are choppier or there is boat traffic nearby and they want to complete the landing efficiently.
