It is not a long formal briefing, but you will get a quick explanation while they are getting you strapped in, so you know exactly what is about to happen. They will typically have you step into the harness, tighten everything up, and then explain how your weight is supported once the chute catches wind. A lot of it is reassurance in real time, like letting you feel the straps and showing you how you will be sitting back into it once you are in the air. They also usually point out that your legs will stay relaxed and you are not doing any physical effort. Right before takeoff, they often give a heads up about the lift. If you look nervous, they will slow it down a bit and make sure that you are comfortable before they signal the start.
