If someone is scared of heights, most of the support actually happens before you ever leave the boat, but there is still a little bit of reassurance once you are up there. On the dock and during the harness setup, the crew explains exactly how the lift feels, how steady the ride is, and what is going to happen step by step. Once you are in the air, communication is more limited, but crews are still watching you closely from the boat the whole time. If conditions are calm enough, they might shout up a few check ins or give signals just to make sure you are comfortable. A lot of people who were nervous on the boat actually settle in pretty quickly once they realize how quiet it feels compared to what they were expecting. If someone is really uneasy, the crew will usually adjust the experience a bit by keeping the height moderate at first and not rushing the transition.
