Orange Beach actually requires parasail operations to maintain minimum distances from shore, so the boat can't simply tow occupied parasails immediately beside swimmers and beachfront condos. City regulations require at least 1,000 feet of separation from shore while carrying a parasailer and at least 500 feet between operating parasails. That offshore distance is part of why some beach departures need to shuttle guests out to the parasail vessel first.
