It can be, but the boat ride may actually be more sensory-intensive than the parasailing flight itself. An Orange Beach parasailing trip can involve a loud boat engine, wind, salt spray, music, unfamiliar life jackets and harnesses, waiting while other passengers take their turns, and potentially a beach or banana-boat transfer depending on the departure location. Once airborne, however, parasailing is often described as surprisingly quiet and peaceful, and individual flights are typically around 8–10 minutes.
