Easy enough that renters should take shallow-water warnings seriously. Sandbars, changing tides and protected island areas make depth awareness important, and shallow water can appear noticeably lighter or browner. Follow your rental company's navigation instructions and don't assume that because you can see sand through the water, you should drive directly over it.
