Most places will let you switch drivers, but only if both people are approved to drive before you leave the dock. Both drivers need to meet the age requirement, have a valid ID, sign the waiver, and have the Florida boating safety requirement handled if it applies to them. When you check in, tell them right away that both of you want a turn driving. They can explain whether switching is allowed on the water, where it is safest to do it, and whether both people need wristbands or paperwork marked a certain way. The actual switch is not hard, but you want to do it in a calm area, away from boat traffic, wakes, and no wake channels where people are coming through from every direction. I would not switch while drifting near a busy spot like Crab Island unless the water is calm and the company says that is okay. If both people really want a full driving experience, 2 Jet Skis may be the better call.
