Most Jet Ski rental places keep child size life jackets on hand, but I would still ask before you book, especially if you have a younger child, a very small child, or a kid who is between sizes. Life jackets are not one of those things you want to figure out at the dock with the clock ticking and everybody ready to go. A good fit matters because a jacket that is too big can ride up around the face, and one that is too small can be uncomfortable and make the child nervous before the ride even starts. When you call, tell them the child’s approximate weight because life jackets are usually sized by weight range. I would also ask if the child is allowed as a passenger on that specific jet ski, because age rules, seat space, and weight limits can vary by company.
