People do see dolphins on regular jet ski rentals, but I would not book a standard rental expecting it to be the same way you would expect it on a guided dolphin tour. Dolphins move around based on bait, boat traffic, tide, and whatever they feel like doing that day, so sometimes they show up near the harbor, around the bay, or out closer to open water, and other times you may ride the whole rental without seeing any. A guided jet ski tour gives you a better chance because the guides are out there every day, they know where dolphins have been active, and they can adjust the route based on conditions. On a regular rental, you are mostly staying inside the approved riding area, watching your time, and following boundaries, so you are not really searching the water the same way a guide would. If dolphins do pop up, slow down, keep a reasonable distance, and do not chase, circle, or cut in front of them.
