Yes, I would take a few quick photos or a short video before you pull away if you notice scratches, dents, cracked plastic, torn seats, missing padding, or anything that looks already worn. Most rental crews are used to that, and they will not be offended by it. I would also point it out to the dock hand before you leave and ask them to mark it down if they do a walk around sheet or inspection. Get the front, sides, back, bottom area if you can see it, and any close up spots that stand out. Once you are on the water, avoid docks, shallow areas, beaching, and riding too close to other jet skis, because those are the things that can create real damage issues.
