You can bring a phone, but I would not bring much more than that unless the rental company tells you the jet ski has a dry storage compartment. Water gets everywhere out there, especially if you hit wakes, slow down wrong, or someone climbs back on soaking wet. If you want your phone for pictures, put it in a good waterproof pouch with a lanyard and make sure it actually seals before you leave the dock. A small dry bag is okay if it can fit safely in the storage area, but you do not want anything loose between riders or hanging off your shoulder while driving. Towels, big bags, flip flops, hats, and extra clothes are better left at the dock or in the car. The less you bring, the easier the ride is. If you do bring a phone, attach it to you somehow, because once it drops into the water, it is gone for good.
