It's worth it for groups that value the social experience, a captain, shade, music, and an easy trip to Crab Island more than speed or having complete control of a rental boat. The better Destin tiki products can include onboard bathrooms, coolers and ice, floats or paddleboards, Bluetooth music, captains, and private or shared options, so you're paying for more than tropical decoration. But if your group wants to independently explore Choctawhatchee Bay all day, a pontoon rental may genuinely make more sense.
