For a first Destin vacation, prioritize a Gulf beach day, one boating experience, and an evening around Destin Harbor. The water is the defining feature of Destin, so activities such as a dolphin cruise, Crab Island trip, fishing charter, or pontoon rental provide a much stronger sense of place than filling the vacation entirely with attractions that could exist in any beach town.
