Crab Island is worth doing if swimming, boating, and spending several hours on the water sound appealing. It is a submerged sandbar in Choctawhatchee Bay rather than a traditional island, and it can only be reached by watercraft. Visitors who dislike crowds, boats, prolonged sun exposure, or swimming may enjoy another Destin activity more.
