The calmest choice is a short captain run harbor or bay cruise, especially a morning dolphin cruise that stays around Destin Harbor and Choctawhatchee Bay instead of heading into the Gulf. Those trips keep the boat moving at an easy pace, have seating, and avoid the stronger chop that shows up near East Pass. A 1.5hr to 2hr cruise is also less overwhelming than a long sandbar day, while still giving the group water views and dolphins when they appear.
