Yes, many Destin boat tours move into calmer harbor or bay water when the Gulf is too rough, but trips built only for the Gulf get rescheduled instead. Dolphin cruises, tiki boats, Crab Island charters, and some sightseeing trips have protected options around Destin Harbor, the Destin Bridge, and Choctawhatchee Bay. A 2hr dolphin cruise, for example, still has a workable route when East Pass or the Gulf side has too much chop. Parasailing, offshore fishing, and open Gulf snorkel trips depend more on sea conditions, so those trips may be delayed, have their times moved, or be canceled for safety.
