Yes, because some of the area's best experiences are free or relatively low-cost. Beach time, walking public areas, exploring portions of Gulf State Park, watching sunsets, browsing The Wharf or Downtown OWA, and simply enjoying the coastline can fill substantial portions of a trip. Spending money on one or two signature experiences rather than purchasing an excursion every day is a perfectly reasonable way to vacation here.
