An entire day is justified if the group wants to combine several park experiences rather than simply see one trail. Gulf State Park covers more than 6,000 acres and includes 28 miles of trails plus beach, fishing, biking, wildlife areas, and other recreation. Someone interested only in a short nature break can easily make it a few-hour outing instead.
