Absolutely no. A light sprinkle by itself is not always the problem, but rain often comes with changing weather, stronger winds, or nearby lightning, and that is what causes parasailing trips to be delayed or canceled. The captains are watching the radar throughout the day, and if they see a storm moving toward the area, they will bring everyone back in or wait for conditions to improve. I have seen plenty of days where it rained for 20 or 30 minutes, the storm passed, and trips started right back up afterward. I have also seen days where storms lingered and the rest of the schedule had to be canceled. If your trip is affected by the weather, most companies will either move you to another departure time or offer a refund if they cannot get you back on the schedule. Florida weather changes quickly, and a forecast calling for rain does not always mean it will rain where you are parasailing. Let the captain make the call because they are monitoring the conditions in real time and will only fly when it is safe to do so.
