No, you won't expect to find shells at Crab Island. The bottom of Crab Island is sand with some sea grasses smattered throughout the sandbar. If you're lucky, you might be able to find a hermit crab or some really small shells, but shelling is not why people come to Crab Island. Instead, book a shelling trip with Destin Snorkel or go to the beach where there is abundance of shells.
