Yes, tour boats still go out in mild chop, but trips do not run when the captain decides the water is unsafe for guests. Boats around Santa Rosa Sound and Pensacola Bay have more protected routes than open Gulf water, so a choppy day near Pensacola Pass may turn into a calmer bay side ride instead. Wind around 15mph to 20mph, lightning, strong storms, and rough seas are the big things that change the plan.
