Jet ski rentals are timed from the reserved start time or launch time. A 1hr rental still has an assigned return time because the next group may be booked right after it. Paperwork, safety instructions, and Florida boating certificate checks happen before launch, so late arrivals or unfinished waivers reduce the riding time.
