Yes, there is enough time to look for shells on most Shell Island trips, with the best window coming on 3hr or 4hr tours. A shorter 2hr dolphin and island cruise from Grand Lagoon gives 30min to 45min on the sand, while longer Shell Island trips give more time to walk the bay side and check the St. Andrews State Park end for shells before boarding again.
