Yes, dolphin cruises slow down for photos when dolphins come close, as long as the captain has safe room to maneuver. Dolphin cruises out of Grand Lagoon and St. Andrews Bay often idle or ease off the throttle near Shell Island or the pass so that guests have a better chance to take pictures.
