It is not required to make reservation for the Gulfarium before showing up, but during high capacity days during peak season, you might be turned away if you don't have a ticket. Also, you can skip the ticket line if you have a pre-ordered ticket which saves time at check-in. You also will save a few dollars buying in advance opposed to walking up. I would highly recommend buying my ticket in advance.
