New Orleans carriage tours might stop at the French Market for narration and photos, but you won't be able to get off the carriage. Most rides focus on narrated sightseeing through the French Quarter and Faubourg Marigny, and many depart near Jackson Square on Decatur Street, just a short distance from the market. The route passes nearby, but you should not expect time built into a standard carriage ride for shopping or getting off at the French Market.
