A full tank of gas should be plenty of fuel for your full day rental. However, if you plan on cruising for most of the day, then it's likely that you'll need to refuel at some point. You can come back to the departure point or go to any marina nearby to refuel. Most customers take the boat to Shell Island and swim for a few hours or stop at a restaurant for a bite to eat. Rarely do they need to refuel. You do not need to bring the boat back refueled.
