If you drive to shell island by car, it's $8 per car (2 to 8 people), $4 for a single occupant car and $2 for pedestrians or bicyclists. However, if you travel their by pontoon boat rental, it's free to walk around. You can find a spot on the island to pull up the boat and anchor.
