You’ll see coastal birds such as brown pelicans, gulls, terns, ospreys, herons, and egrets around Shell Island and St. Andrews Bay. Little blue herons, tricolored herons, and reddish egrets also use the island’s marsh habitat. For birdwatching from the water, the Shell Island Excursion and Dolphin Cruise aboard the Grand Mére passes shoreline and shallow water habitats where marine birds gather.
