The western side of Key West offers the coastline views that are hardest to see clearly from land, especially the Navy Mole, the ocean facing side of Fort Zachary Taylor, and the shoreline around private Sunset Key. A good trip for that angle is the Windjammer Schooner Day Sail, which follows the harbor past all 3 landmarks while keeping the island visible for much of the ride.
