Yes, there are a couple of places at Adventures of Jean Lafitte where you can hang out if you arrive early. They have an air conditioned indoor facility plus an outdoor patio and waiting area, so you do not have to sit in the car until check in. Inside, there is also a gift shop with snacks, drinks, ice cream, and the albino alligator named Sugar to check out while you wait.
