Day of Wine

Glad you enjoyed your day! Marsley did as well!
Come back and see us anytime.

We were collected from our hotel and dropped off there at the end of the day.
Marsley, our guide, was Knowledgeable, friendly and relaxed..... absolutely lovely.
Good sense of humour and made the day highly enjoyable. Met some other great people too...a small group of 9 which made the experience much more personal. Would definitely book with Jade Tours again !!!!!!!

Fabulous day out !!!!

Bruce has extensive knowledge and likes nothing better than talking to groups that are keen to immerse themselves in what out lovely region has to offer. Glad you had a great day.

Bruce our guide really looked after us and made the day very memorable. Lots of information and really interesting vineyards.

Jade tours

Thanks Greg. It was lovely to meet you and C as well! I hope your time in NZ is memorable and your after-the-tour catch up with our other guests was enjoyable. Safe Travels :-)

Great day of wine tasting with a great guide. He picked wonderful wineries that were very different so it covered different wines and various sized operations. Great group we were paired with also which made it even more enjoyable. Can’t say enough good things. Would absolutely do this tour again.

Great day in Marlborough.

Communication with tour operators was amazing!. Booked the tour with Jade Tours. Unfortunately 2 days before the tour Bruce with Jade had to unexpectedly leave town BUT he transferred our Viator booking to Cameron with Hop-n-Grape Tours. Transfer was smooth & both Bruce & Cameron were easy and great to work with.
As to the actual Tour, full van of 10 great travellers! Amanda, our tour guide was fabulous & so full of information regarding Blenheim and all the vineyards. Wine was delicious at every stop. We had a very multi cultural group and we got along great. Amanda was very instrumental in us all getting along & making sure introductions were made & repeated each time we picked up members at their lodging. A very fun, delicious day!

Amazing Amanda & Wonderful Wines

David, thanks very much for your positive review!

Bruce had a very good knowledge of wine production and techniques taking us to 5 small wineries and the lunch break was super

Very informative trip

Thanks so much for your review Roy. I am pleased you enjoyed your day with Discovery WT. We got there in the end, with a bit of a hiccup to start off with. :-) Kind regards Bruce

My tour was originally booked with Jade Tours. Unfortunately, when I emailed to confirm pick up time I received a reply saying that due to a mechanical problem with the minibus the tour had been transferred to another company, Discovery Wine Tours.
I was sceptical about the reason, suspecting that we were the only ones booked and had been offloaded onto another company.
However, I received an email from Jade offering to pick me up and visit a winery I particularly wanted to go to, in the person's own car, half way through the Discovery Wine Tours trip, returning me to the tour after this diversion.
Whatever the reason for Jade Tours reassigning me to another company, I could not fault this offer.
I did not take Jade Tours up on the offer, but appreciated their efforts to rectify the late notice disappointment I had felt.
As it turned out, the Discovery Wine Tours day out was exceptional.

There were only six of us on the bus, our driver, Chris, was friendly, informative and entertaining, and the other two couples, one from Denmark and the other from Australia, were great company.
We visited five wineries in all, the highlight being the visit to Gibson Bridge.
We stopped for lunch( at Saint Clair vineyard) and we had the sharing platter. This was excellent, and very good value at NZD76.
The whole day was relaxed, we visited some fabulous wineries, mostly smaller, less well known places, and were treated to some excellent wines.
Chris was a lovely host, and the atmosphere, thanks to the company of the other couples on the day, was brilliant.
A wonderful day out, educational, entertaining, and just great fun.

Fantastic day out

Thanks so much for your review Mitchell. it was a very enjoyable day for all, including me! regards Bruce

The full day trip started with Bruce picking us up at our B and B. The van was comfortable and airconditioned. He offered us chilled water and told us about the wine industry of the area. We visited 5 wineries with a stop for lunch mixed in. The pace was comfortable, and we enjoyed the wine and the beautiful vistas. Part of the fun was getting to know our fellow wine tasters (8 of us in total.) I recommend this tour for anyone interested in tasting the regional wines without worry of driving, learning about the wine making process including the local terroir, and enjoying a relaxed guided tour.

Beautiful, relaxed wine tasting experience

Bruce was a great tour guide and this was such a fun tour! We got to experience a variety of wineries and have lunch at one with our group. The group was only 6 people (3 couples) so it made it really fun to get to know everyone and have basically one on one time with the tour guide and all the tastings! I see why this is one of the higher rated tours for wineries!

Great times with great wine and a great tour guide

Very nice tour with a lot of great wine and an amazing lunch on own expense! Bruce did a really good job driving us around and telling us some facts. After a while you get definitely tipsy but Bruce got you covered with snacks and water. :)

Tipsy after awhile

Great day altogether: we were sms and confirmed pick up at hotel before:
Was informed of the region’s rich history and tasted amazing wines:
My favourite part was there were no long drives at all: everything was only a few minutes apart

Hump day in Marlborough

Hi Guys. Many thanks for your review. Marlborough has some really special wines and it was lovely to watch you enjoying them. Safe travels

Mike gave the tour a professional, unbiased and knowledgeable tour of some wonderful vineyards in Marlborough region. Lunch was delicious and Mike stepped in to help staff who were doing their best in busy periods. Bought some delicious wines to drink during our campervan trek around NZ
