Heritage Dunedin City Walking Guided Tour

Our tour guide, Gregor was knowledgeable friendly and most informative. He did not hesitate to answer our questions and provided interesting minor details that may not be commonly known. The Heritage Tour is appropriately named as Gregor shared information about the original peoples of the region, the European migration to the area and the significance of the historic buildings in the city centre.

Great day

There was a nice mix of mainstream history mixed with a bit of dark drama and intrigue. The stroll along with the story gave us a more realistic picture of how Dunedin came to be. Very fresh perspectives and much enjoyed.

Historical Tour from multiple points of view.

We had an excellent experience on this walking tour of Dunedin. It struck the perfect balance between being educational, humorous, and genuinely personal. Lolene shared stories that brought the city’s history and architecture to life, weaving in her own experiences without ever overshadowing or speaking over the cultures that shape Dunedin.

What stood out most was the care taken to present local history respectfully and accurately. Lolene acknowledged cultural perspectives without trying to claim or imitate them, which made the tour feel both thoughtful and authentic. Her humour added warmth without distracting from the depth of the information being shared.

Overall, it was a memorable and well-paced tour—engaging, insightful, and delivered with integrity. I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting to connect with Dunedin in a meaningful and enjoyable way.
