This scenic flight visits both Patea Doubtful Sound and Tamatea Dusky Sound. Two of Fourteen beautiful fiords within the Fiordland National Park.

Doubtful Sound is the second largest fiord and is most popular next to Milford Sound. Dusky Sound is one of the largest and complex fiords in Fiordland, being 40km long and 8km at the widest part, it encompasses many islands and was named by Caption Cook in 1773.

Doubtful and Dusky Sound zijn niet te vertalen in het Nederlands! We kregen de dag voor de vlucht bericht dat het niet zou doorgaan wegens ongunstig weer. Gelukkig konden we de dag voordien wel nog vliegen. En het was zonnig. Het was een ongelooflijk mooie en lange vlucht over de prachtige fjorden met twee spectaculaire landingen. De piloot gaf veel uitleg, was super vriendelijk en zorgde goed voor onze veiligheid.
