What we chose to do
I found it through TripShock.
I booked it two weeks in advance.
It was a family activity, and I wanted to see the swamp and animals.
We drove ourselves.
Captain Mike was very informative and funny.
Holding the baby alligator and seeing the other wildlife in the swamp were the highlights of the trip. It was also really cool to see the small cemetery in the swamp, and the examples of shelter as they would have been in the past for the people who lived there.
We took the VIP tour, so we were on a smaller boat with just four other people. Drinks are allowed on the boat (adult beverages, too). The grounds were nice too. They were rustic and pretty.
Yes. Lots of animals and a great break from the city (we were staying in New Orleans).
