Parking: Public parking is available at the Lagoon Motel located at 5915 North Lagoon Drive. 
Departure Details: The pontoon rentals are launched from behind the Lagoon Motel located at 5915 N Lagoon Dr Panama City, FL 32408. North Lagoon Drive is accessible from Thomas Drive, across the street from Captain Anderson's. Do not go to the Lighthouse marina location for pontoon boat rentals. Please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to departure time. It is best to confirm your booking at least 24 hours prior to your arrival date. For any issues, please contact your provider, FUNPCB, at 850-235-8051.
Boater's Test: A Temporary Florida Boater’s License is recommended and may be required for your activity! All drivers born on or after January 1, 1988, MUST obtain a license. Adults born BEFORE January 1, 1988, may operate a boat or personal watercraft without a Florida Boater License, so long as they have a valid driver’s license. However, in the interest of safety, we recommend that all drivers take the test and familiarize themselves with important boat safety rules. The gauges didn’t work, which was weird and didn’t let us know, gas gauge is important. Radio didn’t work. The ladder was very hard to get back in boat for us older passengers. Also, if the coast guard didn’t come by and told us to anchor out from shoreline or we would have been stranded. Other than that and the price to rent boat was cheap and had a great day. Employees was kind.

It was a great experience and a the man who helped us with our boat was super chill and informative

Great Day

The pontoon experience was great overall, there are some things that did not work. 
1. There are more restrictions on where you can take the boat. I wanted to go to Uncle Earnie’s and that was in the restricted area so I could not go
2. The location where the pontoon leaves from has a lot of shallow spots, so you have to be very careful not going thru it else you may damage the engine 
3. The accelerator of the boat did not stay locked, I had to continuously keep on holding it to keep it moving. 
4. The ladder was not folding ladder. It worked fine, but folding ladder provides more steps in the water and easier to climb. 
5. I got the boat at 1:30 pm instead of 1 pm since they had 9 departures at the same time. 

Apart from the shallow waters and restricted area nothing else bothered me too much. Overall I still had a great time. Booking thru trip shock was easy as well.

Amazing experience

Everything was smooth as far as renting the boat. The location was good. The staff were very friendly and gave us great instructions. I could not find any prices that were lower than your boats so I was very happy about that. Our grandkids had a ball and the water was gorgeous.

It was the highlight of our trip. The weather was perfect & we saw many dolphins, some were part of large pods. We got very close to some of the dolphins. The kids loved feeding Cheetos to the birds, too. And Capt. John was great. He was so good with the kids, funny & entertaining. We are already making plans to return to Capt. It was a great experience to ride on a boat with my family and daughters best friend for her birthday! We saw dolphins and even a sea turtle! We were able to take drinks and subway sandwiches along with chips and fruit, we could enjoy close to shell island where we picked shells and saw hermit crabs! We would definitely do it again :)

The captain, Dennis, was very nice and made sure we saw as many dolphins as possible. He gave us some history and taught us a lot about dolphins we didn’t know. The one and only down side to this experience was how the customer service handled the situation the morning of our experience. They texted me 30 min prior to tell me the trip would have to be cancelled or rescheduled due to not having at least 3 people on board. I begged and pleaded since it was a surprise for my best friend’s birthday. I finally had to pay for a 3rd party to be able to go then they still couldn’t go on time because the captain “needed 24 hours notice”, yet customers only need 30 minutes? Found that entire situation highly unprofessional. Either way, we made it on and saw many dolphins and took lots of photos and videos and had a private tour for two at the cost of three.
