This was definitely not what we expected. I would not recommend this experience for families with children under 5.

First, the pricing felt unreasonable.

As for the experience itself: general admission was $60 per adult and $40 per child, which is a steep price to pay to be parked in the blazing sun with young children. This outing may be enjoyable for adults who are looking to drink, float, and relax, but it’s absolutely not suitable for small kids.

The biggest issue was the jellyfish. Kids were getting stung constantly, and I was stung multiple times myself. While the smaller ones were tolerable, the bigger jellyfish stings were incredibly painful—even for me as an adult—so you can imagine how much worse it was for the little ones. A crew member even admitted they hadn’t seen it that bad before.

Less than 15 minutes after getting off the boat, we were back on it, desperate to leave. Nearly $400 gone for an experience we couldn’t enjoy.

The only positive was the crew. They were genuinely kind and tried their best to help, offering spray for the stings and even arranging for another boat to come get us so we wouldn’t have to sit for hours with upset kids. Since other passengers were still enjoying their trip, they couldn’t cut the excursion short, which we completely understood—but we really appreciated their efforts.

Disappointing Experience – Overpriced and Not Ideal for Young Children

We had a nice time on the tour. The staff and crew were nice. It was disappointing to receive notification of the canceled 9am tour when we showed up after paying. They were nice and gave us parking, but a telephone call before we arrived would have been nice. We had to find things to fill up a four hour space of time. Additionally, hearing a more inclusive music selection would have made it much more enjoyable. Music can create a happy place, but it everyone needs to hear something that's relatable. Maybe take some requests.

Timely Notification & Music Inclusion

Had a great experience with my husband, bathroom was available when needed on the boat we came on. the weather was great when we went the beginning of June. floats were available from the boat and guides were nice and helpful from our boat

We loved the couple who drove the boat and that it came with floats and stuff for the water that our toddler loved. We were a little bummed the water wasn’t as clear as expected, so that kind of made us done with it after 30 mins.

Overall great!

We had a blast and our captain was so hilarious and fun.  One of the best excursions ever.

My family and I had a wonderful time. The captain was super fun and informative. The best boat ride we have been on. My 67 year old mom wanted to go again the following day, that’s how much fun she had. We had little ones as well with us and the captain lets them drive for about a minute on our way back. It was an awesome experience. We got to see the dolphins up close as well.

Great music and our staff was fantastic. They made sure we knew all the safety rules and were very personable. They pulled out the water toys, helped us call over the food vendors to our area. I had a great time. Even though the trip is geared towards families with children the crew made me feel a part of the crew and made it great for me. It rained but when life serves you lemons, you make lemonade. The lemonade was great and the day was fun.

Absolutely LOVED It! I can’t say enough GREAT things about this cruise and the staff aboard! We took our nine year old daughter who loves everything pirates! We had the best time while the crew entertained our kid with pirates stories, treasure coins, sword fights, and even face painting! They even sell drinks for all, mixed drinks for adults, and food along with many pirate props to buy!  We definitely left with multiple eye patches and hooks for hands! This pirate cruise was worth every penny and I would highly recommend to anyone of any age! We will return next year and do it again!
