Airboat Adventures from New Orleans with Optional Transportation

Are you ready for the excitement of the swamp? Airboat Adventures provides a thrilling insider's view into the wild swamps and bayous of south Louisiana inhabited with massive alligators and other marshland creatures like snapping turtles, wild hogs, raccoons, and more. Your high-speed airboat will glide over the water, accessing areas known for gator-activity. Your boat captain, a Louisiana native, will explain to you how Cajuns survive in the swamp and provide you loads of interesting information and personal stories. Being surrounded by the beauty of age-old bald cypress trees covered in Spanish moss makes travelers realize that this was the natural terrain that our French and Spanish settlers conquered over 300 years ago!

The adventure itself was awesome! Richie our guide was top notch, and a wealth if knowledge! We saw lots of gators and view was spectacular. The people at the desk were far less awesome, and gave us some attitude when they had made a mistake and put 2 people in our group on the wrong type of boat altogether. Fortunately we got it situated, but it took us telling them no multiple times. We would still go again because the actual experience was great. I mean I held a baby gator!

We had Captain Tick Tock for our tour. We went on the smaller boat tour (6 passenger). He was friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel like we were family out for a ride on Bayou. We saw gators and watched him coax out a momma raccoon and babies with a little snack. We got to take is slow through beautiful moss coveres trees and satisfy the need for speed on some if the open areas. A must do tour if your visiting NOLA.
