    River trip

This was the worst experience of my life. We went on the trip after it rained and we were told the river was flowing fast but we would be fine. Life jackets were not required but we got them for the smaller kids. Truthfully everyone should have been required to wear a life jacket. The river was moving so fast we were not able to stop at the sand bars because we couldn't stop. We saw no one on this trip (other people, guides), we were the only ones on the river. If I could have called someone to come get us I would have. The river float took 4 hours, which was 3 hours and 55 minutes too long. Had anyone got hurt no one would have known, there were no signs stating (x) miles left and no guide. We were given tubes and stated we would be picked up at the end, when we see the bridge go towards... read more

We're saddened to learn of this experience. We take great pride in our customer service abilities and we're very sorry that your trip wasn’t enjoyable. Our trips are conducted in a 200,000-acre state forest on all-natural waterways. June brought record rainfall, however, we work closely with the state to determine where the levels are, and we won't run trips if waters are above the 'safe' level. The day you went out was posted at 'caution' stage. Caution stage is an area where the river is above normal, but not too high or unsafe to float. Most folks experience good trips during this level. We had this posted on-site and in the release you signed, but apparently this was not explained in detail where you fully understood, and for this we greatly apologize. The last thing we want is for...

The last thing we want is for anyone to have a bad trip. Again, I want to express how sorry we are for your experience and if we can ever make it up to you in the future in any way, please let us know.

    Great Time!

If you're looking for a way to spend half the day... It took about 3½ - 4 hrs to do the tubing trip. This was a blast for the whole family. We took a 3 & 5 year old all the way up to a 70 year old. Everyone had fun! We will definitely be doing it again.
