Great day at Crab Island
Captain Anthony was great! After we boarded the boat, he offered his Bluetooth speaker for music and our 13 year old immediately connected to it and started playing DJ. We made our way to Crab Island and after spending about 2 hours in one spot, our youngest mentioned he wished we were “over there” in a more shallow spot. He had been busy snorkeling (equipment Anthony provided- nice surprise!) and the water was just over his head so although he can swim very well, 2 hours of constantly swimming without being able to reach easily was getting tough for him. Anthony immediately offered to pack up the SUP and bring up the ladders and move over to a more shallow spot. Super nice of him! Our boys enjoyed the slides and throwing a football off the second deck out to each other in the water. After we were done at crab island, bc the sun was starting to go down and it was getting chilly, Anthony took us for a ride in the harbor. We then headed back to the dock at The Gulf. He had mentioned earlier that the restaurant was good. We’re local ish (we own a house in Miramar Beach and come down every 3-4 weeks) and we haven’t been there before. We decided to check it out for dinner that night and it was excellent! We had a lovely spot on the couches over looking the bridge and the bay with an amazing sunset! We’ll definitely be renting from Anthony again!!
