Our guide was very knowledgeable, she gave some history of New Orleans which I appreciated it and some good tips on where to eat and what to do the but the highlight was when we went to eat beignets

    Interesting but missing activity

The tour was very informative. It was interesting seeing the artists work (when they were working, as many had their feet up and playing on their phones). The tour guide was really great and the king's cake was yummy. Unfortunately, I was expecting to have my daughter make a mardi gras mask of her own at the end of the tour as described in tripshock, but the activity was not available. For the price, I expected the activity. It would have been more entertaining for my daughter. The gift shop was nice, but had random things that didn't seem to relate to the actual experience of the tour. It would have been nice to have mask making capabilities to do at home or something to that degree.

Thanks for booking with us and for sharing your feedback. Mardi Gras World is definitely a terrific place to visit and I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it overall! They do offer mask-making sessions, however those are geared more towards groups (15 person minimum), so I'm sorry to hear they didn't have that to offer that date. We actually don't advertise that on our site or list that on our vouchers, so you might have read about it in online reviews. Thanks again for booking with us and sharing your experience. Hope to see you next time! TripShock Guest Service Manager

    Ruined at the end

The tour of Mardi Gras World was fun, my second time with different people, but the drive of the van that takes you back wouldn’t let us on without our beads that act as your ticket. Other people also. We were never told that we had to keep them for the return ride. My first tour a month earlier didn’t require the beads. Plus the driver rudely said, “Ticket”. We said “What ticket” he said “Your beads like everyone else has”. We had to go back in and get them out of the trash. They really need to retrain the driver and update the policy to tell people to keep them. The stupid part is you have to show no ticket when you get on in the Quarter to go to the tour. How do they know where you’re going then?

    Great Tour

Well done, lots of interesting information. Fun facts. See the process start to finish. We were not rushed, had time take it all in. Thanks for a great New Orleans experience!

Great tour and wonderful tour guide. Answered lots of questions and made it fun. Plenty of opportunity to take pictures and see how floats are created. Good movie to get us started!

    Best time!

I’ve been going to New Orleans since 1995 and this year, 2018, was my first trip to Mardi Gras World. It was so amazing to see the floats and pieces up close and how they were made. The free shuttle there and back was great too, although it wasn’t picking up in the Quarter, I’m guessing because of the construction.

Interesting but to hot to enjoy

It was so HOT we got sick. We should have been told that there would not be air conditioning before we bought the tickets.

Hi Trina, Summers are definitely hot in New Orleans and our vendors do their very best to provide comfort for their customers. Mardi Gras World actually does have air conditioning and fans to circulate, however whenever the artists are shaping the fiberglass the warehouse doors have to be left open for ventilation. The dangers from the fumes can be dangerous, so they do have your best interests in mind. I hope you were still able to enjoy some of your time there, but if there is anything further I can assist with please feel free to contact me. Best regards, TripShock! Guest Service Manager

    nice tour

The only suggestion I would make is that there wasn't enough time to look at the finished floats. Other than that it was very good.
