    Great trip!

The deck hands were wonderful. We were put on the fish. For the money, it was a good time. My only complaint is that two ladies fishing next to me kept getting tangled up in my line.

Had a great time. Check in was fast and easy. Fishing trip was absolutely perfect. The captain took us the perfect spots.

    Disappointed! Will not use again!

I took my 3 children on this fishing trip, hoping it would be like the awesome deep sea fishing experience I had years ago. I was disappointed and so were the kids. The trip was supposed to start at 6:00 am. We were told to be there at 5:15 am in which we were, the boat didn't leave until a little after 6:30am. The bait we used was crap. The meat kept falling off the skin therefore it wouldn't stay on the hook. The boat was crowded, everyone's lines kept getting tangled. We didn't get to fish very long at the places we stopped. When we did finally start catching fish, the captain blew the horn which meant reel in the rods cause we were moving. There were 2 deckhands, not personable at all! I will not use this company again.

Christina, Thank you for the review. We are sorry to hear about your experience. When you book a party boat, it is a little more crowded than going on a private trip or a small group charter. We know that a lot of our guests don't want to spend $150+ per person on deep sea fishing so that's why these trips are offered. Captains typically don't stay long at their spots to prevent over-fishing. Thank you again for fishing with us.

Not a fishing trip... Just a boat ride!

I have been deep sea fishing at least 75 times.. Never have had an experience like this.. The longest we stayed at ANY spot to fish was about 10 minutes.. The captain was not interested in fishing, just wanted to take us on a boat ride... Should have done the dolphin cruise and saved a lot of money ....

Robert, Thank you for the review and we are sorry to hear we didn't meet your expectations. The reason why the captain doesn't stay long at certain spots is because he is careful not to over-fish the reefs. Or maybe the fish finder is not showing much activity and he wants to try other spots. Whatever the reason, the captain doesn't like coming back to the docks without fish. Thank you for fishing with us.

Hi Julie, Thank you for the detailed review. We are sorry to hear that your experience was mediocre. You are right that the crew should be more careful on how they ask for tips - We can talk to them about this. The reason why the mate stabbed the fish is because it allows the fish to get back to the bottom of the reef. If they don't do that, the fish is not likely to survive its way back down. Thank you again for fishing with us.

    Wouldn't recommend this one

I have been on these head boats before this one was disorganized,no one knew what they were doing and the captain was extremely rude not to mention there were hardly any fish caught and the ones that were caught the majority weren't big enough to keep. I'll book through someone else next time.

Thank you for the review Matt. We are sorry to hear about your experience. When we go out on the party boats, we need to be logical on how we fish. If we go to reefs with larger fish, it could easily tangle several lines. We try to stick to reefs with generally good sized fish and a variety so the experience is optimal for all. If you would like to book a charter that target bigger game species, we recommend a private or small group charter. Thanks again for fishing with us.

    Deep sea fishing

Can't totally blame the captain due to rough water but we spent most of the time moving around trying to find a good spot. Not much time to fish.

Tina, Thank you for the review and we're sorry to hear about the rougher seas. This shouldn't make a difference in the fishing time though. On a typical 6 hour trip, expect to fish about 90 minutes. It takes about 2 hours just to get to the first spot and you will be moving about once you are out there. Thanks again for your review and feedback.

The Capt. Greg Marler was extremely knowledgable, he was able to put us on fish every time we stopped. I have never been fond of cattle boats. Capt Greg sure changed my mind. The first spot , first drop I brought up a red snapper approx 25lbs. My wife Sharon brought up a red snapper, and vermillion snapper on her first drop. The crew Dan Collette and Ryan Johnson were the politest and most fun to be around. They went over board helping my wife and myself removing fish from the hooks. Back at the dock, they filleted everyones fish. Capt Greg stated we had the most fish caught this year to date on his boat THE GENTLE WINDS.

    Fishin' Time!

Great trip. Little crowded but that's the way it goes. For the price, I could deal with it. The skipper put us on the fish. Every single one of us in our party caught at least 4 different types of snappers. The deck hands were very patient and made sure everyone was taking care of. They were very knowledgable identifying each type of fish caught. The best part was that the deck hands filleted the caught fish upon reaching the dock. (Bring plenty of tip money) Seas were kinda rough due to a storm way out west. Take the dramamine. The two dudes next to us were trying to tough it out. Didn't work. Wasn't enjoyable hearing the dry heaving. We will do this again.

We had a great time. The day was beautiful and the water clear. We caught fish and saw some dolphins. The crew were courteous, professional, and entertaining. We couldn't have asked for a better time. Thank you!
