We caught lots of fish and shipped them home
about 3 days ago
My husband caught and kept 16 fish... white snapper and mingo. Too many to cook and eat during our vacation, so he had them frozen and shipped home by Destin Seafood Ice, where we had visited two days before to buy shrimp and snacks for visiting relatives. Boat staff recommended Sextons, but we went there, and they no longer ship. I just went along for the ride, by choice. One mistake I made... I thought Nov. in FL would be warmer, and I had a light "hoodie." We started the trip at the front of the boat. I got splashed, very cold, and boat was moving too much for me to get back inside quickly enough. Next time, I would stay inside the cabin and dress warmer. Still, a great experience, and so glad that my husband enjoyed this and caught so many fish. Someone else caught a very large grouper.

Capt Gibson

Captain and crew did an excellent job. Friendly, helpful and professional. They need help fighting off the snow geese while cleaning the fish.

Great experience

My grandson and nephew wanted to go deep sea fishing so we booked seats on the Deep Sea Fishing Party boat. This was a great experience. We all had a great time and caught quite a few fish which were delicious when we got back to our rental home. The workers were outstanding in helping to bait hooks, bring in the fish and even clean them later on the dock. We learned a lot about deep sea fishing, one of which is don't sit on the bow of the boat when going out to sea. We got drenched, but dried out quickly once we stopped to fish. The only reason I did not give this trip five starts is there was no mention of safety, life preservers, etc. before the start of the trip. It seems like that should have been a necessity. The trip itself was fantastic.

Booking easy

Booking and check in was easy. Boat crew was very nice. The only complaint is we moved everytime we got our hooks to the bottom, having no time to fish. I'd give them another try though!

Disappointed
I took my 12 year old grandson on his first deep sea fishing trip. The waves were very high going over the bow of the boat and soaking us. People were sick and it was very hard to stand up. Needless to say my grandson was unable to fish because of the terribly high waves and he got soaked and was freezing. I believe you should advertise not for children. My wife and I have been deep sea fishing and had a great time. I believe you should be able to tell if the waves are going to be too high to enjoy the trip. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Worst fishing boat I've been on
I've been going on fishing/drift boats since I was 15. This was the absolute worst experience. It is like they went to the roughest waters intentionally. I saw other boats closer to the coast where the waters were calmer. There were people on the boat who were scared about about 10 people who were sick. We spent a total of 30-40 minutes fishing. Most stops we got 4-6 minutes in and lines up time to go. The last stop we were able to go a little longer as there were not dolphins steeling the fish. The dolphins of course were not the fault of the captain. I have been in rough seas on fishing boats as well, but the way this one was navigated was concerning. There were a couple of times I thought I was going to end up over the rail.
