Parking: Free parking is available on-site. However, parking is very tight so please ride together to reduce the number of cars and make parking easier for you. 
Departure Details: Your double-decker pontoon rental will depart from “Island Watersports” located at 1318 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE, Okaloosa Island, FL 32548. As a reminder, the half-day reservations are from 9:00 am-1:00 pm &amp; 1:30 pm-5:30 pm. The full-day reservations are from 9:30 am-5:30 pm. You will not be able to make up time if you are late for your rental, so please confirm your scheduled departure time and arrive at least 30-45 minutes early for registration and boat orientation. For any issues, please contact your provider, Double Fun Pontoon, at 850-316-4224.
Boater’s License: A Temporary Florida Boater’s License is recommended and may be required for your activity! All drivers born on or after January 1, 1988, MUST obtain a license. Adults born BEFORE January 1, 1988, may operate a boat or personal watercraft without a Florida Boater License, so long as they have a valid driver’s license. However, in the interest of safety, we recommend that all drivers take the test and familiarize themselves with important boat safety rules. Reminders: The company providing your pontoon is named “Double Fun Pontoon Rentals,” and rents double-decker pontoons across 6 locations along the Gulf Coast. As mentioned above, the location that you are renting your pontoon from and should arrive on the day of your reservation is called “Island Watersports” located at 1318 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE, Okaloosa Island, FL 32548.
IMPORTANT: To be in compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations and to maximize safety on the vessel, we have structured our outings as a Bareboat Charter versus a Boat Rental. As such, it is necessary to identify 3 leaders in your party to be in charge. The positions are: A. Charter Representative (person in charge) B. the Skipper (person driving the boat) and C. Safety Manager (paid crew member who cannot contribute to the charter). We require that all three charter leaders watch our video before departing. Only recommendation would be to provide a cooler for the pontoon.

Bring the kid out

Overall the booking and registration experience were smooth.  Unfortunately the pontoon they rented us was greatly underpowered.  Even with the front empty the pontoon was plowing water.  This is no problem when there is no boat traffic.  However there were several times the pontoon had water come over the front when waves from other boats hit us.  If the boat had more power I would rate ithe experience a 5/5.  The boat is so underpowered even under full power boat wakes were pushing us around and the motor offered little assistance.  I have driven boats for a majority of my life and there is no way a boat that size with that much capacity should have a 90hp motor on it.  

On a good note crab island is a blast and easy to navigate to from the marina.  Crab island is about a 25 min boat ride full throttle in that pontoon with 14 people on it.  Take that in to consideration when you are booking your trip duration.

We had a great trip on the pontoon boat as usual.  2nd year it rained though but we still had a great afternoon.  The boats are great and easy to rent!  Always a fun time!

We arrived 30 minutes ahead of schedule as requested, and the team got us out quickly onto our boat, which was clean and ready for our day!

Perfect Experience

I would come back and rent again. Everyone was nice, helpful and thorough, keeping me informed. Couple of things I would consider changing…Put the boat operation and safety video on your website, make it easy and available, unable to view it. Once the waiver and the link expires, you can’t go back in make changes or corrections. A staff member sent me the link after request, this saves us both time and money and could be avoided. The video is very helpful and should be readily available and viewed as many times as needed for a first time boat operator or especially an inexperienced boater. Also, I suggest putting the rental insurance options early on and BOLD print, not buried in the fine long winded print. Makes you feel blind sided when you get to the window to pay… people don’t like $$ surprises ($75-$500) A final thought is some of the wording about if staff has to come get the boat “for any reason” is not at all warm and fuzzy felling to the customer. Sometimes boats just break down and have issues out of the control of the customer. Hopefully this is not the case. If so, you should revisit this policy.

We had so much fun at Crab Island, thank you for letting us have a pontoon, to get us there and back. Thank you got allowing us an extra 1/2 hour.  The only drawback was that I didn't reqlize at time of booking that it was 45 minutes there and 45 minutes back.

Great experience!  Booked in advance by calling the reservation telephone number.  The girl on the phone was informative and patient.  I was sent a confirmation email and text.  Upon arrival I was met at the parking lot and check-in was a breeze.  Since everything was done in advance, we got on the boat right away.  Boat was clean and ready to go.  After a quick tutorial, we were on the water!  At the end of the day, return was just as quick and easy.  GO LIME PONTOONS!
