It truly was great. My trip to Hilton Head was better because I was able to go on the Shrimp Trip!

Shrimping Excursion
The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The accommodations were nice. Some of the trip was boring as we sat there while they trawled for 45 minutes.

Something Different
Very interesting and interactive experience, learning about the shrimping industry and experiencing the process first hand with a small boat, crew and guests. We netted about 6-7 pounds of shrimp, prepared them for cooking and each group took home about a pound each. Nice time! Thanks to Captain Spike and mate Chase....

Shrimping good, crew not so much
This is a short and sweet shrimping experience in the close bay, we got good load of shrimp.
The crew spoke badly about past visitors, did not wear a mask and was not focused on being helpful, inclusive and service oriented.
Service should match nature-be natural, warm and inclusive.

So fun!
This was a wonderful excursion of relaxing and learning about the shrimp industry. The crew were terrific and friendly. We all were able to help with the showing when time came for cleaning the haul! Family friendly and informative, as well as taking a part of the catch home for eating

The Perfect Storm
Sixteen boarded the Tammy Jane on a calm Thursday morning, sun shining, and water calm. Dolphins darting nearby, sea birds squinting at our wake, and an ocassional jellyfish slinking next to the boat, as we began the trawl for shrimp. On the boat, we are entertained by the crew who proabably hear the same questions and tell the same stories make them sound fresh and new. And then the storm. Swirls of birds storm the wake as the net rises to the surface, diving and rising as the net surfaces. We all crowd around as the nets are opened and the contents are dumped. "Who wants to help?"
Thousand of fingerling fish are thrown overboard as tibits to another storm of birds.
Few shrimp were caught but it was a perfect day.

The crew were friendly and informative, and we were lucky enough to come home with enough shrimp to feed four people
