Departure Details: Experience is located at 123 Redemption Way, Reserve, LA 70084, about 35 minutes from New Orleans. Open 7 days a week. Ticket office opens at 9:30am. Tours take place Monday - Saturday 10am and 2pm, and Sunday at 1pm. Closed Mardi Gras Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day. Tours depart on time. Any issues, please contact your provider, Historic Riverlands Soul River Musical Journey Plantation, at 985-210-6621.
Gratuities: Although not required, it is customary to tip your tour guide.

Our family loved our visit to the plantation. Our tour guide, Beverly, taught us more about the Louisiana Purchase, the influence of French culture, revolt of 1811 and the importance of the time era than we had ever learned.  It was a beautiful sunny day - great visit with beautiful scenery. ♥️ Highly recommend this tour to visitors.

Interactive and informative, the museum was amazing and way more than I had expected. 10/10 would recommend!

Incredible museum!

The WWII museum was the highlight of our New Orleans vacation.  The curators did an amazing job stepping you back in time and allowing you to experience   Events in a chronological fashion.  The impact of the war from the soldier to the effects of daily life for all citizens is on display.  The social missteps are also discussed and displayed.  

I hope to be back again.

We loved this tour. I have three boys (ages 12, 11, & 6) who really got a lot out of this (the older ones more than the younger one) and enjoyed learning about the history. The house was gorgeous and the tour guide was so good and full of knowledge. It really was one of the highlights of our trip.

The gal that did our tour was very nice. They “play” the part of the time period. She was fun and had a great personality. Unfortunately her name escapes me I think it starts with a “B”. The property is absolutely gorgeous. The garden was still beautiful even though it was winter. My 13 year even enjoyed the tour. I think it was worth the money and time.

Our visit to the museum was enjoyable and enlightening. It was especially nice because we were treated to a guided introduction by the curator’s sister who just happened to be in the foyer when we arrived. Her passion and excitement for the displays and artifacts brought history to life.

Worth the time

Degas' great niece, Joanie, did a superb job of filling me in on the facts surrounding the artist's visit, his motivations for his various styles and subjects and some intriguing stories of family history.
