Handicap Information
Carriages are a great way for handicapped or disabled people to experience the French Quarter. If they can walk up steps with assistance, they will be able to board our carriages with ease. We do provide stepping stools and assistance. For people with no mobility, no ability to stand, these people may not be able to access the seat of the carriage. Our private carriages are more open air, so there is more ability for these individuals to be placed into those carriages, or larger people. Wheelchairs, strollers, and walkers can be left behind at our Jackson Square boarding location, and our on-site supervising manager will look after them. We suggest that all important items be taken on the ride.

Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel at least 72 hours prior to their arrival date and time to receive a full refund minus a $5 service fee. Customers that cancel after the 72 hour period will not be eligible for a refund. The carriages are covered and therefore operate rain or shine, but if weather is severe and the vendor calls of the tour you may be rescheduled for a later time/date or a full refund will be issued. No-shows will not be refunded. Customer may make changes to the reservation without any fees as long as it's outside the 72 hour cancellation period. Tour directors of large groups must make sure the group is on time for scheduled pick-ups.

    More history than haunts

It was good, but not a lot about scary stuff. Didn't last the whole hour, more like 45 min, with 5 to 10 of it sitting infront of the Cathedral. Still interesting, though and the tour guide was nice.

    Not pleased

I originally made our reservations for 8:00pm online then changed them to 10:00pm due to another tour we had planned for the same afternoon. We hurried to the carriage loading zone only to be told our reservations were for 8:00pm. Evidently, my change did not go through. As I stood there with two of my kids and my sister, confused and frustrated, the man at the carriages was completely rude and unwilling to help us make a tour happen. We were all extremely disappointed, as we’d been looking forward to it since the night before. I would recommend another tour company that actually cares and wants happy and satisfied customers.

Hi Olivia, I checked our records and do not see any contact with our offices, so reached out to the vendor to see what might have occurred on their end. The vendor also showed no record of any contact to their offices, so marked your 8pm reservation as a "no show". I'm sorry to hear you weren't able to enjoy this tour but please feel free to reach out to me or the vendor directly if there is anything else we can do. The vendor's number is listed on your voucher, or you can reach us at 850.424.5125 between 7am-7pm CST. TripShock Guest Service Manager

    Ask for KJ and Napoleon!!

I loved our tour guide!!! He made something that could’ve been just informational and boring very entertaining. Large personality. If we go back, I would book another tour with him.

    Ghostly carriage ride

Easy way to get tickets. The haunting tour was great. Jennifer was fabulous and even stopped to allow us to get a drink. Would definitely recommend. One in party thinks ghost followed her to hotel and was trying to get in door

    Not as described

We took the Royal Carriage History & Haunts Nightime Carriage Tour. The Royal Carriage website states as what to expect - Ghosts, Pirates, VooDoo, Death, Haunted Restaurants & Haunted Hotels. Our tour guide -I don't recall her name- was quite nice & did seem knowledgeable about the couple of haunted restaurants & hotels she took us past. Some ghosts, no Pirates, no VooDoo, no 1800's massacre as listed under 'Death'. It was a pleasant carriage ride through the French Quarter with what I would describe as a few 'fun facts' which was OK but nothing like what's described on their website & not what we wanted.
