Worth the Splurge
Our tour guide was Jonathon and our mule was Blondie. They were both amazing! We decided to splurge on the carriage ride and we are so happy that we did! You can bring drinks and relax while you take the tour. It was nice to take a break from walking and we got to see a lot of cool parts of the quarter that we wouldn't have otherwise seen. JOnathon was very informative and a great story teller. Our kids loved him! Would highly recommend!

Fun Evening of History & Haunts!
We really enjoyed the History & Haunts Nighttime Carriage Tour! Our tour guide, Shannon, & his mule, O'Reilly, did a great job. We arrived a few minutes early & were able to sit in the front seat of the carriage behind the tour guide which I think is the way to go. Shannon seemed to treat O'Reilly well which made me happy. He told us some really cool stories & I definitely learned some things & heard more details on parts of stories & lore I'd heard of already. Now that I'm back home I've been looking further into some of the stories he told via YouTube. Fascinating stuff. Highly recommend this tour through the fun & history filled French Quarter. Remember to tip your guide!

History and Haunts Nighttime Carriage Tours
We took the History and Haunts Nighttime Carriage Ride with Sara and Armstrong. Sara was awesome and filled us with fun history and facts of the hauntings and legends that surround the French Quarter. Honestly she was one of the better guides we have ever had! And it’s very obvious how much she really cares for her mule Armstrong!
It would have been a fantastic evening if we hadn’t had to wait for a group of girls in the 20s that were joining us. You are suppose to arrive 15 min prior to your scheduled tour, these girls pulled up in a car right at departure time, which meant we waited another 5 minutes before we could leave. The girls were loud, obnoxious, and a few were intoxicated. They didn’t listen to our tour guide and and tried to talk over her narration, which resulted in our tour guide having to stop, wait, and then resume her talk repeatedly. One girl wanted to get off at Lafitte’s Bar, but it wasn’t until we passed through Frenchman’s Street that they all decided to get off. They didn’t even bother to tip our guide which is just plain rude. We had a wonderful time afterwards but I feel like we missed out on a lot of cool info as our guide was interrupted repeatedly. Sara was amazing and very professional and I can’t think of any way she could have handled these people better, but I wish there was a way to screen them out because we paid a lot of money to go on this tour and we waited in the cold and wind for them to arrive, only to have them ruin our night until they could find something more “entertaining “ to do.
