Additional information
- Carriages are a great way for handicapped guests to experience the French Quarter. If a handicapped person can walk up steps with assistance, they may be able to board the carriages with ease. They do provide stepping stools and assistance. For people with no mobility, no ability to stand, you may not be able to access the seat of the carriage. The private carriages are more open-air, so there is more ability for these individuals to be placed into those carriages, or larger people.
- Wheelchairs, strollers, and walkers can be left behind at the Jackson Square boarding location, and the on-site supervising managers will look after them. All-important items from the strollers or scooters should be taken on the ride.
- Dogs, no matter the size, will be the passenger's responsibility & will have to share the seat with its owners. There is no cost for dogs.
- This tour departs at night. It is recommended to book in advance for this tour to guarantee your seat. Please click the "Check Availability" button for up to date availability.

I really enjoyed the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and it's a very good value for the experience. The night ride down the famous streets of New Orleans and hearing the clip clip of the mule hooves was so nice. This was our 2nd trip on the Royal Carriages and it won't be our last. Definitely would recommend if in this town.

We learned so much about the city and the history. It was very engaging with a light side of spooky real-life stories that were incredibly interesting and well told. It was fun. Our mule Rancher was also really sweet and he got lots of pets.

Great carriages and beautiful animals. The stories were good but I wish it held the haunt description more.
