Houmas House & San Francisco Plantation Mansion Tour with Lunch & Transportation from New Orleans

BUFFET LUNCH INCLUDED

Spend the day visiting the most extravagant plantation homes in South Louisiana with this small group van tour. Enjoy a narrated scenic drive out of New Orleans and along the shores of Lake Ponchartrain to San Francisco Plantation which features an 1856 gothic steamboat style mansion, flamboyant hand-painted ceilings and elaborate gingerbread work. The costumed guide will explain why this beautiful home is “the most opulent Southern Plantation!” After visiting the mansion, guests can explore an original slave cabin and the old one-room schoolhouse. Next, a short ride upriver through sugar cane fields brings guests to Houmas House Plantation. Here we will enjoy a gourmet lunch buffet(included) in the grand dining hall at Houmas House followed by a tour of all 16 rooms at Houmas House Plantation and Gardens, known for their period dressed tour guides and extensive collection of antique artifacts and artwork.
